As the pressure mounts on London’s club scene to stand together and fight for the right to party, East London’s newest club The Bridge are already taking the lead. On October 8th they will host ‘Save the Night‘, a coming together for London’s 2 biggest, absent dancefloors, Studio 338 and fabric.
Starring Levon Vincent, who was originally scheduled to play at fabric on this date, all ticket monies will be donated to the funds to reopen the Studio 338 and fabric. A whole host of other acts are billed for the party including the legendary Trevor Jackson, new star Saoirse and a host of secret guests from the fabric side of the family.
“Whilst we are of course delighted to have Levon here at The Bridge so early on in our story, it didn’t seem right for this to be a ‘for profit’ party, given that he was originally due to play at fabric on this date. So having spoken with the guys there, we decided this was a great chance to stand together to support our respective causes and indeed London’s night life as a whole. Therefore, all ticket and door money will be split between the fund to reopen fabric and that to repair our fire damaged Studio 338.
Happily, the date also coincides with the save nightlife demonstration which was very kindly organised by the Meoko team to unite us all at this difficult time. This party will make a great ending to an important day for all of us who want to save and protect our culture.” – The Bridge
The Bridge has already been making series waves since it was announced, with some serious upfront programming, so it’s great to see the new kids stand side by side with the big boys to get us dancing again! Studio 338 and fabric have donation sites here and here.
